BOOLI SELMAYR & FOX RACE FARM
BY JESSIE SMITH
Booli Selmayr grew up with horses, and her daily routine continues to revolve around riding. Booli grew up in the Westchester County area, before relocating to Millbrook in the spring of 2007, when she secured a job as the Whipper-In for the Millbrook Hunt. After many years of whipping-in and balancing her event riding, she decided to pursue her eventing dreams full time, and went to work for Bonnie Stedt in January 2014. Fast forward five years, and Booli has created a successful equestrian training business based out of Fox Race Farm, owned by Kelly Morgan, with an exciting string of upper-level horses, up-and-coming young horses, and a dedicated bunch of clients who train with her regularly.
Eventing since a young girl, Booli remembers looking forward every year to competing at the Millbrook Horse Trials, and always dreamed of competing Advanced as a professional when she was older. She has accomplished that dream, completing her first Advanced at Millbrook aboard Castle Diamond in 2013. Since then, she has competed consistently across the upper levels, while coaching many Millbrook-based riders at all the levels.

Millbrook Horse Trials is always a favorite for Booli, not only because it is her hometown event, but also because it gives her and her clients a chance to compete against some of the country’s best riders. It also allows the Millbrook area to watch and cheer on their local equestrians at one of the country’s top equestrian events, and highlight Millbrook as an area where top professionals and amateurs are still produced and are competitive on a national level.
Booli will be riding this year with horses ranging from the lower to the upper levels, with numerous students, including young rider Isabel Finemore, who will be competing her father’s OTTB in the Training division. Isabel will have just returned from representing Area I in the North American Young Rider Championships at Rebecca Farm in Montana the week before. Good Luck, Booli and students!
