1. Entries:
Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Double entries: Not accepted. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 with entry. All changes must be in writing. Changes or late entries after C.D., are subject to $30 fee. Non-negotiable checks will incur a $30 fee. Checks drawn on foreign banks, whether or not in U.S. funds, please include $15 processing fee. No deposit required for pinnies. Pinnies not returned will be charged $25/pinny. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-Entry – no refund; Stabling refund only if stall filled. All withdrawals before C.D. must be in writing (fax or email). Competition cancellation-No Refund. Neg. Coggins required within 12 months & must accompany entry. Include copies of USEF membership cards for rider, trainer & owner (preliminary & above) Please include email address on your entry.
2. Tentative Schedule:
Wed: Cross-country course open – 3 pm.Thurs: Dressage (All)- 11:00 am Note: Number of entrants will dictate which day you will ride Dressage.Fri: Dressage (All)– 7:30 am Cross-country (BN, N, T) 8:00 am.Sat: Cross-country (OT,P, I, A) 7:30 am. Show Jumping (BN, N, T) 8:00 am Sun: Show Jumping (OT,P, I, A) 8 am. This schedule is tentative.Please check website for possible day/time changes. (www.millbrookhorsetrials.com) Every effort will be made to accommodate riders's scheduling needs - please state on entry. Schedule will be dictated by number of entries.
3. Awards:
Trophy & 8 ribbons per division. Perpetual Trophies: 1) Mashantum Perpetual Trophy -A; 2) James Stamets Memorial Perpetual Trophy -A Mare; 3) Michael O. Page Perpetual Trophy -OI; 4) Dutchess County PHA Perpetual Trophy -YROI; 5) Millbrook Equine Veterinary Clinic Perpetual Trophy - OP; 6) Barbara Meyer Perpetual Trophy -YROP. PRIZE MONEY - Advanced Division presented by PRO; Intermediate Division presented by Millbrook Horse Trials.
4. Starting Times:
Available after Aug. 1 from secretary. Check web site at www.millbrookhorsetrials.com and Area I website www.area1usea.org.
5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
Limited. $175/stall 10 am Wed. to 6 pm Sunday. No horses accepted before Wed. without prior permission. Please notify management for arrivals after 8:00 pm. Extra nights: $50/stall per night. USEA stabling form and "requests to stable with" must accompany entry. 52 perm/balance temp. stalls on grounds. $60 clean stall deposit required – write separate check. Stalls must be inspected before leaving. Bring stall guards. Bedding available for purchase, hay must be ordered ahead of time -provided by Hunt Country Farm Supply (845) 868-1760. Stable Mng. on grounds 24 hrs/day as of 8/5. Veterinarian: Millbrook Equine Veterinary Clinic, (845) 677-5500. Farriers: Dwayne Place & Richard Thomas. Phone #´s at secretary´s stand.

7. Directions:
Address: 1031 Bangall-Amenia Rd, Millbrook, NY 12545 From South: Route 22 to Amenia. Left (west) on Rte 44 to Dutchess Rte 86 (Bangall-Amenia Road). Right onto Rt. 86 - go approx. 1.5 miles. From Millbrook: Rte 44 east to Dutchess Rte 86. Left onto Rt. 86 – go approx. 1.5 miles. Please note: if traveling North/South in NY the Taconic Parkway does NOT allow trailers; seek alternate route.
8. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: A-2010 USEF Advanced Test A. OI/YOI-2010 USEF Intermediate Test B-Std. OP/JYOP-2010 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm. T-2010 USEF Training Test B-Sm. N-2010 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: Sand & Airfoot mixed.
9. Cross-Country:
A-3800 m @ 570 mpm. All I-3200 m @ 550 mpm. All P-2800 m @ 520 mpm. All T-2400 m @470 mpm. All N-2000 m @400 mpm. All BN-1600 m @ 350, max. fence ht. 2´6’. All courses: Moderate to difficult for horses with some experience at this level.
10. Other Information:
Cross-country course closed. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section. Food on grounds. Competitor's Party Sat. Night – Details to be announced. Camper's OK, hook-ups not available. Some trailers may be parked off grounds within ½ mile. Follow parking signs carefully! For insurance reasons please respect the following rules: Dogs MUST be leashed. Loose dogs WILL BE IMPOUNDED, $50 loose dog fine. Motorbikes and ATV´s on car lanes only. No motorized vehicles in stabling area. USEF Rule GR 301.5 states that no one without a valid driver´s license may operate any motorized vehicle at any time on competition grounds. Small children should be closely supervised. Horses must pass on designated routes ONLY. |
